Interesting flag, heh?
I have always been fascinated by the continent of Africa...and not only because I am Black, but because it is a continent that has such a rich history, and such a rich culture. Why then, is there so much illness, so much poverty, so much turmoil?

a little bit about me...
I am 48 years old, in recovery (from a lot of stuff!)..
I was born in Jamaica Queens, New York...
Lived in the Bronx for 15 years.
I am a widow and mother of three:
22 year old daughter, a 15 year old daughter, and a 10 year old son.
I have spent 7 years in the United States Army,
worked for 9 years in a halfway house for prisoners from out of state prisons.
I have lived an interesting and blessed life, and am currently in seminary where I am studying to become a pastor!

I served in the United States Army from Sept 76 until Feb 83 as a 71L (Administrative Specialist), spent 4 years overseas, I completed my tour of duty as a Drill Instructor.
